Deep, dark ruby red color. Notes of red plum and cranberry, paired with hints of vanilla lingering in the background. The French oak this wine is aged in shines on the palate, with a burst of pomegranate swiftly transitioning to supple spice and tannin structure. A slight hint of eucalyptus helps round out the tannins on the finish.
Prominent raspberries and boysenberries are joined by blueberries and plums. Notes of allspice, tobacco, and nutmeg idle at the periphery adding dimension to the profile. Smooth tannins and level acidity underscore a chewy texture. Notes of star anise and cinnamon emerge on the appetizing finish.
